This wine benefits from decanting or time in the glass. Off the bat, it is reticent on the nose, but in time it smells of smashed cobbler berries dusted with cinnamon. The palate is bright, clean and dry with moreish juiciness, medium fruit intensity and a touch of mouth-coating glyercol. The solid finish adds on milk chocolate, cola and more baking spice. The poised, smooth tannins nicely balance with the vivacious, mouthwatering acidity. This will hold nicely in the mid-term and possibly beyond. Drink now–2025.
