Extravagant on the nose, this wine smells like stepping into a shower of baking spice. Mulberries, ripe cherries and popping-fresh blueberries soar from the glass, too. The palate is hedonistic, carrying along all the same flavors and adding concentrated notes of toast and vanilla. Full-bodied but not overpowering, this is nicely balanced by sculpted tannins and seamless acidity. The finish is all lush fruit. This will please many a palate preferring voluminous, rich wines. Drink now–2025.
