Extravagantly pure and concentrated on the nose, this youthful wine is replete with blackberry and black currant jam. Dense, layered and unctuous on the palate, there are more nuances of black fruit jam along with lifted, mentholated tones and sultry dark chocolate. This is a full-throttle wine with high alcohol, caressing tannins and mild acidic lift. While well-balanced, the style is likely to be polarizing. Yet where there are fans, the flame should burn strong. Drink now–2024.
