Dark red with a slightly murky appearance, the youthful nose offers blackberries and dried goji berries with a strong note of forest floor funk. The light-bodied palate is framed by bracing, drying tannins and soaring acidity. It’s definitely a wine for food as the demanding texture is a bit rough-and-tumble. The flavors mimic the aromas, with the earthy tones dominating the moderate finish. Straightforward, with little complexity, this is for early drinking, despite the firm tannins. Drink now–2022.
