This head-turner is packed with ripe black fruits, licorice, molasses and spice. The linebacker of a palate has a robust, fruit-filled core that is well supported by lean, sculpted tannins and steely acidity. Rambunctious and youthful, with evident toast and mocha from new oak, it would benefit from more time in bottle. Still, many will enjoy its vivacious character today. Drink now–2023.
