Round and soft, this wine displays an exaggerated ripeness. Aromas of black raisin, licorice and maple syrup swell on the nose while flavors of black cherry, cassis and cardamom dress the palate. Robust with an almost syrupy mouthfeel, this weighs heavily with only mild tannins and average supporting acidity. Nonetheless, there is some pleasant complexity. Built for the shortterm, this is one for those fans of chunkier styles of red wine. Drink now–2023.
