This wine starts off with a slightly earthy nose followed by tutti-frutti fruit flavors on the palate. Still, the impressively full-bodied wine shows evident and layered minerality. There is an unusual but appealing sweet-sour element, with green apple peel and ginger flavors dominating. Nonetheless, there is plentiful and pleasant freshness to deliver a mineral- driven and lingering finish. There is a twitch of alcoholic heat, but it’s not unreasonably demanding. Drink now–2022.
