This is a dark, dense wine both in appearance and character. The nose and palate tease out notes of black currant, sloe and licorice. Graphite and light asphalt notes come through with dark chocolate on the moderate finish. The midpalate is pleasantly smooth in suavely crafted tannins and a well-integrated, refreshing lift on the finish. Pleasantly layered with medium concentration, this is a good choice for casual sipping in the mid-term. Drink now–2023.
