Though subdued on the nose, some vigorous swirling helps reveal nuances of mulch and wildflowers. Firm and focused on the attack, the choppy, dry tannins make a big initial impression. Lilting acidity follows through on the finish, modestly extending flavors of underbrush and forest berries. The strict structure makes this a wine for food. Drink now–2021.
