Smelling of forest floor, black tea leaves and balsamic, this penetrating, darkly colored wine is a tour de force. Chiseled tannins meet roaring acidity to provide ample structure. Bold and youthful, this has time to become more subtle in the bottle. Offering a feisty array of black currant bud, barely ripe blackberry and pithy blackplum skin, this needs a seat at the dinner table. Drink now–2024.
