Smelling of dried apricots and cranberries sprinkled with petrol fumes, this wine has an attractive, overt nose. However, on the palate an unusual and slightly off-putting note of Band-aid becomes noticeable as the wine opens up. The finish brings earthy, minerally strains and a fine-grained but penetrating dryness. Though moderate in weight, this is definitely a wine for the table given its rustic edge. Drink now–2022.
