Dark and almost opaque at the core, this wine shows a hint of warm asphalt on the nose. The bold and full-bodied palate echoes the nose and adds an array of ripe forest berries. The sticky, chewy tannins are nicely balanced by supportive acidity that provides additional lift and a more complex mouthfeel. The moderate finish is resolutely dry, with flavors of graphite and black cherry. While the tannins may settle down, this is ready to drink now. Drink now–2024.
