Though the fruit character of this wine is subdued on the nose, it shows a pleasantly pungent evergreen frond tone. The tannins are sleek and the acidity is thirst quenching, giving it an easy drinking appeal at first glace. However, its impressive structure and long finish of blackberry, black plum skin and barbecue spice suggests this might have the legs to go the distance. Drink now–2022.
