This wine shows off youthful fruit and a good whack of new oak on the nose. It is full in weight and in generous alcohol, with slightly prickly tannins and buzzing acidity to give it well-placed structure. It offers oodles of blackberry, spice and game on the palate that lead to a lingering, concentrated finish. This wine should age to some benefit. Drink now–2022.
