Dark and brooding in appearance, this wine has a bold nose of molasses and tree bark aromas. On the palate, it’s packed with flavors of tar, black currant, raisin and balsamic vinegar. Though plump on the midpalate, the grippy tannins take over through the modest finish where the bright acidity brings on a mouthwatering sensation. Drink now–2020.
