This unabashedly opaque wine has a reluctant nose. The palate is vividly robust in firm tannins that give ample structure to the full-bodied feel. Spritely acidity carries the flavors of black cherry, black plum and licorice into a lingering finish. Overall, it shows good concentration, and as the wine opens up, the minerality is down-right head-turning. Drink now–2022.
