Deep yellow with great limpidity. Oyster shell, chalk and unripe yellow plum on the nose. The delightfully tugging—almost tannic—framework is accompanied by a chalky texture on the palate. Seriously lactic, the wine shows both light citrus fruits—pink grapefruit, lime, lemon zest—and a decided, slightly tart yogurt character. Fairly short finish. Drink now to 2014.
