This wine’s aroma offers an odd combination of fertilizer and black cherry preserves. It’s unusual on the palate, too, where the same flavors follow. However, structurally the wine is well-managed. The tannins are creamy and the acidity offers solid support. Alas, the finish is brief and brisk. Drink now–2020.
