Deep and slightly hazy crimson core. Iodine, merbromin and garrigue take center stage on the nose with quince and fig waiting in the wings. There is a faint jamminess to the fruit character, but it’s not unattractive. Blackberry and black currant prevail on the palate. Moderate acidity has just enough zip to finesse the lightly viscous palate and medium body. Drinks well now to 2015.
