Though fairly youthful on the nose, this wine shows a tinge of orange-brown color in its core. Christmas spices abound on the nose, yet the palate shows development in tones of fallen autumn leaves and dried raspberries. The fruit seems to be fading while the structure is becoming very prominent. There’s tangy acidity and rather gruff, drying tannins to balance the medium body. The finish is clipped and tight. It is ready to drink and likely won’t improve with time.
