This wine smells of barbecue spice, bacon drippings and incense. It’s unusual for sure, but its intense aromas have plenty of appeal. The medium-bodied palate has firm tannins that are accentuated by crisp acidity. There’s a moderate finish, but this wine has evolved about as far as it will to benefit. It’s time to drink up.
