This is a big wine that offers a saturated black-fruit core and rambunctious, coconut-driven American oak. Aromas of freshly-picked elderberries and blackberries fight to compete with tones of toast, coconut, vanilla and caramel. The weighty palate receives ample structure from the vigorous, choppy tannins and mouthwatering acidity. This could use a year to settle down in the bottle. Drink now–2022.
