Black core with fuschia-inflected, raspberry-colored rim. Lightly stewed fruit on the nose with pencil ss, damp forest floor and pine needles. The palate is full-blown and framed by moderate tannins, supporting acidity and some viscosity. No evident oak here and savory inflections abound. Drink now to 2014 will not improve.
