This wine shows impressive menthol on the nose yet showers in aromas of peach skin, straw and fresh baked bread. On the palate, yellow plums mingle with touches of verbena and dew-drenched grass. There’s just a hint of funk underneath it all with an unusual touch of Band-Aid that moves into a rakingly dry finish. This is a dry and pithy wine that needs food and whose solidly long finish suggests it might age well to benefit for half a decade or so. Drink now–2021.
