Dark and brooding on the nose, the black fruit core of this wine is enhanced by aromas of dark cocoa, sweet spice and vanilla. It has a s’more like quality on the palate—chocolate and smoky cedar are sandwiched by a graham cracker flavor that begs for a campfire cookout. The oak is a tad overly assertive, but it’s certainly an enjoyable wine overall.
