Crafted in a New World style, the fairly expressive nose offers a hearty combo of black cherry, vanilla and oak. Dark cocoa and baking spices kick in on the medium-bodied palate, a little lighter than expected for a wine that was boasting brawny muscles upon entry. Still, it maintains a healthy balance of acid, firm tannins and focused fruit straight through to the finish.
