This wine offers a waxy nose, with hints of just-ripe pineapple and green bean. Though it feels medium in body, the high-energy acidity keeps this wine’s spine nicely rigid. This is a savory wine for salty shellfish as well as well-aged, hard cheeses that can match the bitter, crystalline side of the palate’s bite. The remaining fruit may soon start to fade, but this should develop nicely with secondary and tertiary characters, as Australian Riesling tends to do. Drink now–2020.
