Showing advanced color via its small, amber rim, this wine’s nose also shows it’s creeping on in years. The tannins, too, are resolved and have stepped aside to allow the well-integrated acidity to do the lion’s share of the balancing of this medium-bodied wine. Along with the tawny color tones, this wine has shed its youthful fruit flavors and replaced them with toffee, stewed mulberry, baking spice and old wood. It is at its peak drink now–2019.
