Deeply black at the core with crimson creeping into the moderately-sized rim, this wine’s bouquet favors aromas of creosote, tar and musk. The palate is pleasantly harmonious with softly caressing acidity and melted tannins. The flavors offer a wealth of caramelized blackberries, cloves and marshmallow-coated graham crackers. It’s evolved to its max but the bright acidity should allow it to hold on a bit longer. Drink now–2020.
