Garnet in color, with a hint of rustiness throughout, this wine seems to be evolving. The nose has somewhat faded red fruits along with baking spice and maple syrup. These notes extend onto the palate, making it feel slightly saturated in sweet. Strawberry and watermelon fruit flavors are lightly candied and not perkily fresh. Moderate in finish, this will please those who dislike tannic bitterness. Drink through 2017.
