Dark cherry color at the core. Subdued fruit character focuses on mulberry and muddled field strawberries. Minerals, hot charcoal, sage and rosemary chime in. Moderate acidity and supple tannins frame the somewhat viscous palate. The medium finish with lingering graphite notes indicates this wine has the potential to evolve through 2014. Still, it is lovely now.
