Profoundly black core with a tiny pomegranate rim. The nose shows damp earth and tar alongside black and red currants with a lining of milk chocolate. The midpalate is plump and round and adds to the wine’s modest complexity with fresh-snapped twigs and mulberries. The faint viscosity further contributes to this wine’s medium-plus body. Plentiful, rounded tannins and refreshing acidity complete the offering. Lightly complex with a moderate finish, this drinks now to 2015.
