This wine has a rusty appearance, straight through its maroon core. The nose is discombobulated, with aromas that don’t jive: vanilla extract meets leafy herbs. The palate isn’t much different with regards to awkwardness—flavors of cherry pie filling and marshmallows. Overall, it is a straightforward wine that, despite its candied flavors, may well meet broad appeal.
