This wine has a rusty appearance, straight through its maroon core. The nose is discombobulated, with aromas that don’t jive: vanilla extract meets leafy herbs. The palate isn’t much different with regards to awkwardness—flavors of cherry pie filling and marshmallows. Overall, it is a straightforward wine that, despite its candied flavors, may well meet broad appeal. Its modest concentration and fast finish coupled with pillowy tannins but lifted acidity suggest this is an early drinker. Drink now.
