Deep and dark at the core, this wine looks as elusive as it smells. There’s little emitting from the nose, and the palate doesn’t open up much either. This is a wine worth decanting for a few hours. With air, the palate opens into bold and generous black fruits, specifically black currants, raisins and elderberries. The palate feel is copious but seamless, with nicely corralled tannins and integrated, lifting acidity. Drink now–2020.
