This wine has a dark, translucent maroon core. It smells of old leather, açai and ripe raspberry. The palate is supple and juicy, with lovely fruit concentration, slightly nervous acidity and attractively raspy tannins. This wine is clearly sitting on the fence between fresh and developed notes and is starting to hit its prime. With such a dynamic range of flavors, it easily could be a sommelier go-to for wine pairings. Drink now–2019.
