Sulphury on the nose, this wine smells of lemon peel and struck flint. It has a lovely freshness and chalkiness akin to Chablis. It is pithy and pure on the palate, with flavors of vanilla, baking spice, toasted brioche and golden raisins. Medium bodied and with just enough brilliant acidity to keep things in line, it’s vigorous and youthful, with hints of earthiness and mushroom-like development. The medium-length finish also has lightly clingy oak tones. Drink now through 2018.
