Pitch black at the core, this wine has an appealing nose of roasted lamb, black cherry coulis and licorice. The palate is similar in flavor, adding musk and thick underbrush tones. Full bodied, with medium alcohol, the wine’s generous fruit is nicely balanced by high-pitched acidity and lightly splintery tannins. Not for the faint of palate, this is bursting with character. Best at the table thanks to its lightly angular structure, it well appeal most to Old World wine fans. Enjoy now through 2017.
