This eggplant colored wine boasts a bright magenta rim and a reserved nose of hot tar, pencil lead and cassis. Rather youthful and fresh on the palate, it showcases all sorts of black fruits—loganberries, blackcurrants and black plums. The finish broadens the wine’s dimensions, with lingering flavors of licorice, incense and soy. The palate is highly textured, with pleasantly big and grainy tannins and invigorating acidity.
