The wine’s silky, well-composed and finessed tannins juxtapose the perky structure’s mouthwatering acidity. Its flavors are evolving nicely, with tones of crunchy autumn leaves, dried cigars, vanilla extract and tart cranberries. This wine is just holding on, a bit over its peak, so drink up now. Given its array of interesting flavors and medium-length finish, it’s worth looking into younger vintages as well.
