This glass-staining wine could be called a black rather than a red wine. Its scents and flavors range from licorice, rose petal and peat brick to cassis and loganberry. There is also lavish minerality, coupled with spritely acidity, pleasantly choppy tannins, succulent and pristine fruit. The medium-length finish wraps this into a very pretty package. Drink now through 2018.
