Bright in appearance, with a dark black core and neon magenta rim, aromas of fresh blackberries and peak-of-season black plums enliven the nose then follow through to the palate. There’s also thyme, graphite and soy. This holds a fascinating mix of flavors more geared toward the wine geek than the casual drinker. It’s super fresh and zesty, too, with lively acidity and lightly gripping tannins. Many a hip sommelier will surely hug this bottle, which should age well through 2019.
