Dark yellow in color at the gleaming core, this wine has a fresh nose of cantaloupe and gravel. Its attack is clearly sweet, but it is fairly balanced by generous body, ample acidity and a zippy hint of phenolics. The palate is quite simple and starting to turn a bit earthy, but it’s still drinking well now. There’s an enticing impact of pineapple, star fruit and gooseberry on first sip, but those highlights fade fast on the short finish.
