Eggplant black at the core, this wine has a bright purple and magenta-inflected hue. The palate is full bodied and rich in perfectly ripe fruits, with blackberries and blackcurrants taking center stage. There are also hints of peppermint and anise along with damp forest floor. It’s a fascinating and complex jumble that lasts long into the prolonged finish. The pleasant, light tannic grip, sculpted and muscular fruit and crackling refreshment make this not only drinkable, but moreish. Sophisticated and balanced to the brim. Drink now through 2019.
