Dark and flushed, this wine’s black-stained core is rimmed by dark garnet. The pleasantly overripe fruit on the nose smells of black raisins, dried figs and hung game. However, there’s also an incongruous hint of stem-like greenness. The flavors echo the nose and add notes of cola. Easygoing tannins and integrated, supporting acidity give the wine proper structure. The short finish leaves the palate feeling clean if a bit watery and fleeting.
