This wine has a deep core, with rust inflections throughout the glass. The nose shows notes of development: mushrooms, fallen leaves and muddled black cherries. The palate has caressing tannins, solidly supporting acidity and a moderate finish. While this is well structured to carry the wine a bit further, the moderate concentration gives it too shallow a reservoir of complexity to allow it to evolve much further. Drink now through 2017.
