This dark-cored wine has a wide mulberry rim. Moderately aromatic, baking spices and strawberries preserves dominate. It’s medium bodied, with Marasca cherries, açai and peak-season blueberries. Harmoniously structured with supple tannins, supporting acidity and light viscosity, this is easy to enjoy with or without food. The oak is just a bit prominent now, but given the generously long finish, there’s time for it to integrate further with the well-concentrated fruit. Drink now through 2019.
