Impenetrable black at the core, this wine has the color of black prune skin, with a brackish, mahogany rim. The nose is exuberantly and attractively ripe in prune and black fig aromas. The muscular palate explodes with dense sweet spice and a round, creamy exuberance, with only modestly dusty tannins apparent. Drink now through 2017, though it has the structure to hang on a bit longer.
