An opaque black color with a red hue, there are notes of pencil lead, fallen logs, prune and raisins on the overt nose. Powerful on the attack with a dense palate supported by bright acidity and strapping tannins. There is no evident new oak and no glycerol. Straightforward and stern, this wine is showing some development to benefit and a medium length finish. Suitable for drinking over the next two years.
