Cola, licorice and sweet-and-savory spice make for an exotic nose on this dark-colored wine with a small maroon rim. Juicy on the palate, with zippy acidity and finessed, medium-intense tannins, this wine has good balance. The flavors echo the nose, adding black currants and sloe. Though intense on impact, the flavor is short-lived, so enjoy it young, now through 2016. A good pairing for a hearty burger.
