This is a purposeful blend of Viognier, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc. It has a bright yellow color, with a miniscule white rim. The bouquet offers non-fruit dimensions like straw and savory spice. Though the medium-bodied midpalate is sensuously round, it is not a fruit-driven wine. It smells of hay, nut pit, Marcona almond and cracked white pepper. It would pair beautifully with sashimi, crudo or just about anything from the sea. It’s a treat already but it has the structure to hold on throughout 2016.
